Executive MBA in Aerospace and
Defense

Program Overview

The Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense program is specifically designed to develop the managerial and leadership skills of the aerospace and defense workforce, including those without a business education. The curriculum, developed and taught by industry leaders and renowned OU faculty, provides students with the strength of synthesizing concepts and integrative thinking between A&D functions and business. This 32-credit hybrid program is designed to be completed in 12 months with a one-week study abroad experience.

Convenient Format

Participants in the hybrid Executive MBA in Aerospace-Defense can complete the program of study in a single year while continuing to work, which will enable them to acquire a broad base of Aerospace-Defense business knowledge and a deep understanding of the industry.

International Residency

This study abroad experience allows participants to engage with aerospace and defense organizations in international locations. Students will travel to select A&D organizations, chosen for their breadth of A&D business activities, to engage in real-world projects. The trip will occur for 1-2 weeks halfway through the EMAD program.

Focused Curriculum

The courses will be focused on applying business and leadership principles to the Aerospace & Defense industry and could result in additional professional qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma and Project Management certification.

Executive Career Coach

Through a combination of group facilitation, individual coaching, and workshops, EMBA students will experience clarity, direction, and purpose as they address their most pressing issues – professionally and beyond. In partnership with Performance Consulting, LLC, the EMBA offers an accelerated version of their Executive Coaching services to complement our challenging curriculum and help students.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants are not required to have academic or professional experience in the business analytics field prior to application. Students would benefit from experience in the following areas but is not required at time of application/start: programming, writing code, use of complicated software, IT implementation, and general technical skills.
